A Festive Spa Break to Slow Down Before the Celebrations
One night by Gyllyngvase Beach with a hydrothermal spa session, festive dinner and Full Cornish breakfast, from 1 to 24 December.
Looking for festive spa breaks in Cornwall that leave you rested rather than rushed? Our Christmas spa break in Falmouth is one night at St Michaels Resort by Gyllyngvase Beach, with a hydrothermal spa session for each guest, a festive four course dinner from our Christmas menu in Brasserie on the Bay, a glass of Prosecco and a Full Cornish breakfast.
If you are comparing spa Christmas breaks across the UK, look for three things: real thermal facilities rather than a pool and a single sauna, dinner included so the evening takes care of itself, and a setting worth the journey. This break is built on all three, at an award winning spa recognised by the AA and the Good Spa Awards.
And if you are wondering whether a spa break can stand in for a big Christmas, the honest answer is that for most people it works best alongside it. One night here gives you the calm that December rarely does, before the family days begin.
What’s included in the Christmas Spa Break
This break gives you one evening and one morning to slow down before Christmas, with the spa, dinner and breakfast all included. It runs from 1 to 24 December, from £450 per stay.
- One night’s accommodation
- One hydrothermal spa session per person, with a robe, towel and spa flip flops
- A guaranteed dinner reservation in Brasserie on the Bay, with a festive four course dinner from our Christmas menu
- A complimentary glass of Prosecco per person
- A Full Cornish breakfast the next morning
- Check in from 3:30pm and check out by 11am
Your hydrothermal spa session gives you full access to the hydrotherapy pool, Finnish herbal sauna, rainforest steam room, Cornish sea salt steam room and spa gardens.

Why a spa break beats the festive rush
December asks a lot. Parties, travel, shopping lists, the same conversations about who is hosting. A spa break does not replace any of that. What it does is give you one evening and one morning that belong to you before it all starts.
A Christmas Spa Break suits you if:
- You want time together as a couple or with a friend before the family days begin
- December is your busiest month at work, and you need one proper night of rest
- You are looking for a gift that is an experience you share, not another thing to unwrap. Our gift vouchers make it easy to give a night by the sea
What you trade is length. This is one night, and you will be home for Christmas itself. For plenty of people the answer is both: a spa night in early December to reset, then Christmas at home with more patience for it.

Inside our award winning hydrothermal spa
St Michaels Spa has been recognised by the AA and the Good Spa Awards, and is home to the largest hydrothermal pool in the South West. Your spa session includes the hydrotherapy pool with its warm, mineral rich water, the Finnish herbal sauna, the rainforest steam room and the world’s only Cornish sea salt steam room. Outside, the subtropical spa gardens have a hot tub, an outdoor barrel sauna and a cold plunge pool. Move between heat and cold at your own pace, then rest before dinner.
Because you’re staying overnight, there’s no drive home after the spa: dinner, a good night’s sleep and breakfast are all part of the break.
