What is included in the Christmas House Party package?

Christmas at home is wonderful but the planning can ruin the festive spirit, with food to organise, shopping to do, the entertaining, the cooking and every small thing that somehow becomes your responsibility. A Christmas hotel break gives you the chance to do things a little bit differently.

At St Michaels your Christmas is beautifully taken care of.

From the moment you arrive at St Michaels, the festive details are already waiting, Mulled wine, mince pies and a Christmas hamper to welcome you into the resort. Christmas eve begins with Canapes, carols in the lounge and live music from the St Stithians Band, before a four-course dinner in the Brasserie on the Bay.

Christmas day however has its own traditions, Bucks Fizz at breakfast, then for families, presents waiting under the tree for the children. A four course Christmas lunch, followed by a dessert buffet, while the Kings speech is shown in the locker.

Later in the day, there is an informal Christmas buffet, the annual St Michaels Christmas Quiz and time to relax together.

Boxing day brings brunch at Nourish with a seasonal dinner on the brasserie accompanied by some live evening entertainment and of Couse festive films showing throughout the day to keep in that festive feeling.

23 December: Arrive and settle in.

Christmas starts with a change of pace.

Park up, check in and let someone else take care of the details. With the beach just across the road, there’s time for a winter walk before settling into the resort. Whatever your plan is as the evening draws in settle into the warmth of the lounge, grab yourself a drink and enjoy the feeling that Christmas has officially begun.

24 December: Christmas Eve by the Fire

Christmas Eve is all about the traditions.

With time to explore Falmouth during the day, take a walk along the coast or simply settle into the resort and the festive atmosphere. As we step on into the evening, canapes start arriving, carols start trickling in before a four course Christmas Eve dinner at Brasserie on the Bay.

No last-minute shopping. No strict timings. Just Christmas Eve.

25th December: Christmas Day, By The Sea

Bucks Fizz at breakfast and a true day of celebrations with the day unfolding at your pace.

For our younger guests, presents set under the tree. For everyone else, the pleasure of having nowhere else to be. If you are feeling brave join in for the Christmas day Swim, A proper Cornish tradition, before warming up with a hot chocolate and pastries.

Then of course a beautiful four course Christmas lunch, the pressures off and Christmas is in full swing a day that can be just pent together, weather its watching the Kings Speech, taking a relaxed costal walk or getting comfy with a good book.

Christmas dinner is already taken care of.

26 December1: A Slower Boxing Day

Boxing Day can be the day you finally slow down.

Start with brunch at Nourish before heading outside for some fresh sea air. Explore Falmouth’s harbourside and with plenty to do to stetch your legs. Back at St Michaels there’s seasonal dinner and live evening entertainment and festive films in The Locker.

27th December: One Last Morning

After four nights by the coast, there’s time for one final Cornish breakfast before heading home.

Perhaps you’ll have made the most of Falmouth. Perhaps you barely left the resort. Either way, the idea is the same: Christmas without the usual list of things to organise.

Why spend Christmas In Falmouth

There are plenty of Christmas hotels in Cornwall and Devon, but Falmouth gives you something special beyond the hotel itself.

St Michaels sits opposite Gyllygvase Beach, so the coast is part of the experience from the moment you arrive. Falmouth town and its harbourfront are also within easy reach, giving you the option to head out for a wander between the festivities.
